The RCI’s Certificate of Scientific Literacy

To qualify for the RCI's Certificate of Scientific Literacy you must satisfy the following requirements:

1.Attend a minimum of ten of the RCI lectures, either in Toronto or in Mississauga, from October to March in the year for which the Certificate is awarded. (Proof of attendance is a personal signature on a card provided by the RCI specifically for this purpose.  The card must be signed at the time of the lecture.)

2.Be a fully paid up member of the RCI for the entire period for which the Certificate is awarded.

The Certificate of Scientific Literacy will be presented at the Annual General Meeting of the RCI that is held in the spring following completion of the lecture series.  Members unable to attend the AGM may choose to have their Certificate mailed to them.

The RCI's Certificate of Scientific Literacy recognizes a level of comprehension of science gained through regular attendance at the RCI's annual series of free public lectures on science.
