EDITORIAL BOARD
Women & Environments International Magazine is a volunteer published magazine. Its Advisory Board functions as a feminist collective.
Karla Orantes (Managing
Editor) completed an Hon BA at the University of Toronto in Political Science and Ibero-American Studies. Her area of interest is social development; she has worked in Mexico, Cuba, Belize, and Guatemala
on issues of migration, social justice and popular education. She has been involved with WEI Magazine since 2005 and was the editor for the magazine's issue on Women and Global Climate Change. |

| Genevieve Drouin
(Assistant Managing Editor) works with Rooftops Canada, an NGO, where she is involved in housing and land rights programming in Africa. Genevieve has worked with the World Food Program in South America, with global and environmental education programs in Canada, and with community-based organizations in Ecuador and Peru. Genevieve received an MA in international development from Dalhousie University and a Hon BA from Trent University. She has been involved with WEI Magazine since 2008. |

Sara Burgess (Circulations Director) holds a BFA in dance and is currently completing her masters in environmental studies at York University. Her interests in feminism and the environment are particularly philosophical and theological, focusing on how we experience our environments. In her daily life, Sara supports local food initiatives and bikes all over Toronto. She is excited to serve on the Editorial Board of WEI Magazine. |

| Dr. Ogla Speranskaya (Fundraiser) has been working on toxic issues for 15 years. She cooperates with International POPs Elimination Network, Women of Europe for the Common Future, and other environmental and health organizations. She assisted in moving forward global agreements on toxic chemicals and is the author of educational materials on chemicals, the environment and health. |

Sybila Valdivieso (Treasurer) is an activist with a particular interest in advancing the
legal interests of, and the protections for, communities that face poverty
and social exclusion. Her educational background is in economics and law.
She considers herself lucky to sit on the Editorial Board of WEI magazine. |
