Reproductive Technologies and the Ecofeminist

There are tremendous social pressures for women to deliver the perfect baby. As a result, in countries such as India, the determination of the sex leads to abortions of females (Mies, 186). The Reproductive Technologies have created the need to fill the social gap according to the economy as opposed to the natural selection. These are examples of what an Ecofeminists would fight for. Ecofeminists strive for a return to nature without Reproductive Technologies. They argue that reproductive technologies are a means to control the selection of a fetus. To create a society biased to a patriachical system, which destroys the natural. In essence, Reproductive Technologies exploit women.
