Research Agenda
Dissemination of Results
Dissemination activities will include a range of academic,
education, practice, and policy venues. To facilitate communication
among research team members and partners, a website for the project
will be developed and maintained throughout the grant period.
Manuscripts will be submitted to peer-reviewed journals and
presentations will be made at key conferences. In addition, electronic
forums will be employed to ensure a full dissemination of findings to
relevant audiences. Over Years 1-3 a range of workshops will be
organized: some will bring together professionals from different parts
of the secondary school system; others will draw together researchers
working in Ontario school boards together with our partners and
Ministry representatives. In Year 3 the research team will share
findings with a broader range of stakeholders including educators,
school counselor organizations, and academics that work in this area.
The objective of this final workshop will be to generate policy and
practice recommendations that derive from the analysis of school board
administrative data and to facilitate ongoing dialogue among school
boards in Ontario.
