Kayla completed their BA in the Specialized Honours program at York University in 2023, and their MA in psychology in 2025 working with Dr. Jennifer Steele.
Their MA thesis was supported by funding from a SSHRC CGS-M award as well as the Bennet Family Scholarship. The thesis was entitled:
