Kayla Robinson   PhD Candidate
Kayla completed their BA in the Specialized Honours program at York University in 2023, and their MA in psychology in 2025 working with Dr. Jennifer Steele. Their MA thesis was supported by funding from a SSHRC CGS-M award as well as the Bennet Family Scholarship. The thesis was entitled: Signaling Belonging in the Classroom: Examining Outcomes of a High School Course Designed to Deconstruct Anti-Black Racism Publications include: Cyr, E. N.*, Steele, J. R., Robinson, K., Schmader, T., Wright, S. C., Spencer, S., Bergsieker, H. (revise and resubmit). Friendship Networks Predict Girls’ STEM Fit and Interest Through Subjective Belonging. Invited revision at Group Processes and Intergroup Relations.
