Graduated over two years ago and looking for career support?

If you're no longer eligible for Career Centre services and you need career support, there are a number of resources in the community we can recommend:

Career Cycles: Operated by a former York University Career Centre Career Counsellor, Career Cycles offers career counselling and job search programs and services, including resume and interview support. There is a fee for service.

CareerJoy: CareerJoy provides career coaching and a variety of programs to help you build your resume, find the right career (or get help deciding whether to switch careers), and search for a job. Alumni who mention they're York graduates can get discounts of up to 15% on all CareerJoy career coaching services.

Jewish Vocational Services (JVS): JVS provides vocational evaluations, career counselling, job search workshops and employer information sessions. Some clients may qualify for more intensive one-on-one employment services. Fees are on a sliding scale and clients do not have to be Jewish. JVS also administers the Ability Works program, specifically designed for jobseekers with disabilities.

Professional Resume Writing Service: Resume Target offers a remote professional resume writing service with a three-day turnaround and an interview guarantee. Their site also provides numerous career advice articles. There is a fee for the service.

YMCA: The Y offers a variety of job search programs and services, including resume reviews, interview preparation, workshops and employer events. Most services are free but some are fee-for-service, such as aptitude, vocational and personality assessment.
