The YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange is a unique national exchange program that brings together youth from various communities across the country. Participating youth, aged 16 and 17, have the opportunity to improve their second official language skills, and gain important employment experience through a work placement while on their exchange. We are looking for motivated post-secondary students to be local coordinators to our participants! 

Type of positions: Summer, Bilingual (French/English), Seasonal, Part-time
Recruiting for: Local Coordinators:  In each participating community there is a local coordinator. The coordinators are hired and trained to help facilitate the most optimal experience for their group of participants.
Number of positions: 25
Skills required: Strong leadership and presentation skills; Conflict resolution and problem solving skills; Enjoy working with youth; Able to work independently; Be readily accessible to participants during the 6 week exchange period; Have a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle; Have valid First Aid / CPR certification before the start date of the exchange, to remain current throughout the duration of the exchange; Share core YMCA values
