CultureLink Settlement Services

CultureLink is a non-profit, community-based organization committed to the settlement and integration of newcomers in the Toronto area. CultureLink works within an anti-oppression framework and is committed to equity.

Recruiting For: Teacher Volunteers - numeracy and literacy for newcomer and refugee children grades 4-6, mostly from the Somali community. Also, French immersion.

Skills:

  • Be an advanced student teacher in training at a recognized University OR a University Student in science or the Humanities
  • An understanding of and/or interest in refugee/immigrant issues.
  • Possess or willing to undergo a Police Record Background check
  • Be committed to the needs of disadvantaged children and their families.

Programs: B. Ed., M.Ed., humanities, social sciences, math and science, French immersion teacher/instructor.
