  • Bernard Lightman has received a National Science Foundation grant to transform the Tyndall Correspondence Project into an international collaborative correspondence project.

  • Jody Berland has been awarded the 2008 Association for Canadian Studies Award of Merit which is "given annually to a person, group, or organization who has continuously and significantly contributed to the development and/or dissemination of knowledge about Canada."

  • This award is sponsored by the Royal Bank of Canada Charitable Foundation. It will be awarded at the ACS conference in Moncton on Novemvber 7. More information about the Association for Canadian Studies and the Award of Merit, including previous recipients, can be found at www.acs-aec.ca/ under "Programmes".

Dates and Deadlines

Practical and Professionalization Workshops 2009-10

The Job Application Workshop will be held on February 22, 2010; 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in 010 Vanier College (Vanier Senior Common Room) Session will be conducted by Becky Lee (Chair, Recruitment Committee) and Jooyeon Rhee (Student Rep. Recruitment Committee).

MRP's
Preliminary Proposal for MRP due to Program Office - January 31st

Final MRP Proposal for approval due March 1st.
