Who is Alison Adam?

Alison Adam is a lecturer in computation at UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology). She has also worked as a software developer and systems analyst.

She is the author of Artificial Knowing: gender and the thinking machine (1998) and "Embodying Knowledge: A Feminist Critique of Artificial Intelligence" (1995).
