Peer Mentoring

Peer Mentoring For Faculty of Health Students

The peer mentoring program connects well-trained upper-level undergraduate students who have proven to be knowledgeable, experienced, and motivated to assist incoming and transfer students to help them transition to and experience success at York University.

Why Connect with Us?

  • Develop a sense of resourcefulness by utilizing the resources provided through the program's weekly emails.
  • Book a 1:1 appointment with your mentor to facilitate personal and academic development.
  • Form long-lasting relationships with your peers and enhance your network by attending Peer Mentor Events.

Help improve academic performance of students utilizing the Peer Mentoring Program and to refer/encourage further use of other campus resources.

Facilitate personal development of Peer Mentors and Mentees through cross-mentoring and guide Mentees toward a path of success as defined by their own personal standards.

Cultivate and refine Peer Mentor's consultation, facilitation, and leadership skills.
