ACTIVE BYSTANDER TRAINING PROGRAM
The Centre for Sexual Violence Response Support & Education is looking for a group of 30 student facilitators to work with student leaders. Where those selected will be facilitating the Active Bystander workshop. The aim of the workshop is to create a culture of consent on campus and commit to educating against harmful attitudes and beliefs that perpetuate sexual violence. The selected students will be facilitating workshops at the Orient the Leader (OTL), for student clubs, and in classrooms on campus where student leaders are equipped with skills to support their peers. Active Bystander facilitators will empower members of the York community to intervene when they witness comments or behaviour that targets others and be informed of the processes on campus to support survivors of sexual violence.
