Fabio Campanella
Partner, The Campanella Group
Philosophy, Bachelor of Arts (BA) 2004
Fabio Campanella (CPA, CA, CFP, CIM) earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from York University, where the flexibility of the program allowed him to branch into accounting and finance courses that set the foundation for his professional designations and career.
After learning the ropes at major financial firms such as PwC, Grant Thornton, and BMO Nesbitt Burns, Fabio founded The Campanella Group, an Oakville-based professional practice built on an entrepreneurial vision: to integrate tax, financial planning, investment, and estate-planning services under one coordinated platform.
Today, The Campanella Group serves hundreds of Canadian entrepreneurs, incorporated professionals, and real estate investors who value sophisticated, tax-efficient, and practical financial advice. Fabio’s multidisciplinary approach—rooted in rigorous accounting, strategic financial planning, and entrepreneurial insight—has made him a trusted advisor for clients seeking clarity and confidence in managing and transferring wealth.
York University gave me the freedom to build my own path. The flexibility to choose from a wide range of electives let me mix philosophy, accounting, and finance — a combination that turned out to be incredibly valuable. Philosophy sharpened my ability to think critically, read deeply, and write clearly, while finance and accounting grounded me in practical, real-world problem-solving. That blend of abstract thinking and technical skill became a real differentiator in my career. It’s what allowed me to approach complex financial, tax, and estate planning issues from a broader, more strategic perspective than most traditional advisors.
