After a 15-year career at the Region of Durham as a land use and transportation planner, Sandra has recently joined the Planning Policy & Research team at the Town of Ajax. With extensive experience in public engagement and consultation, her skills and expert planning knowledge will be put to use to support various strategic planning work at the Town.
Much of the work that I do involves policy review and development which is very much influenced by policies at the provincial level. I chose to study at York as the university’s Master of Public Policy, Administration and Law program was an ideal fit to enhance my leadership and senior government skills. The fact that it was a part-time program allowed me to continue my work while studying. As a government professional seeking to advance her career, the MPPAL program really helped give me both the confidence and credentials that I needed when seeking my recent promotion.
