Yu Cai graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with Honours in 2019. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021, where she was awarded a full scholarship throughout her two-year program. She began her career in data annotation, specializing in the research and development of a multilingual lexicon dictionary. She currently serves as a Project Manager for AI large language model data annotation at TikTok's London.

I am immensely grateful for my four years at York, especially to the linguistics faculty. They not only provided me with rigorous academic training but also inspired me with their dedication as educators. Their constant support has been a true gift.
