David was called to the bar in 2008 and has practised exclusively as a barrister in litigation since that time, first with a well-known litigation boutique and then forming his own firm focused on family law. He has successfully argued cases before all levels of the Ontario Court System, including appeals before the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal of Ontario.

David obtained his law degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He previously graduated summa cum laude from the University of Guelph where he was nominated for the Rhodes Scholarship.

When not in the halls of Court, David can often be found either playing or coaching hockey at neighbourhood rinks throughout the city.
