Orbis System Instructions

Every student planning to take their internship after Fall 2021 semester enrolls in the Orbis pre-course system (FACC6850 PROP). This system replaces Moodle. Instructions on how to navigate Orbis are outlined below(Instruction PDF file).

  • Students log in to Orbis (experience.yorku.ca) using their Passport York account.
  • After Duo verification, they reach the Orbis home page.
  • On the upper left corner, click the three-line icon. A black menu will appear. Next, select your school. For MFAc students, it is Liberal Arts and Professional Studies. Then, choose placement courses. You will see a page titled My Experience.
  • On the same page, the top right section shows Current Experience. Click FACC Pre-registration. You will then be guided to complete five steps:
  1. Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  2. Fill out the questionnaire to help MIAB understand your requirements.
  3. Upload documents (Study Permit, CO-OP Work Permit, Resume, Transcript, BIO, Cover Letter). First-semester students must also upload transcripts without grades.
  4. Provide job search and placement details.
  5. Track your enrollment progress in FACC 6850 and Internship/CO-OP.

This section explains which documents you need to upload: Study Permit, CO-OP Work Permit, Resume, YorkU Transcript, Additional Transcript(s) (optional), BIO, and Cover Letter. Please keep your files up to date ([Instruction PDF]).

📌 File naming format:
