Mark Bayfield
I’m interested in studying fascinating and fundamental mechanisms of gene regulation, especially ones related to RNA biology. Undergraduates who are interested in joining our group should inquire about performing the Department of Biology Honours Undergraduate Thesis (8.0 credit) not later than January of their 3rd year. Connor Loupelle
Connor is performing his Ph.D. studying tRNA processing in human cells and during adaptations to viral infection and stress.

Brittney Remnant
Brittney is performing her Ph.D. thesis studying La and La-related proteins and associated RNA processing in T. thermophila.

Joudi Kanaan
Joudi is an M.Sc. student investigating the role of the LARP1 family in mRNA translation and decay. Her research focuses on Slr1p, a LARP1 ortholog in fission yeast, and is exploring its conserved functions through various modes of binding.

Sean Lazovski
Sean is a fourth year honours thesis student studying La-related proteins in T. thermophila

Sarah Glogauer
Sarah is a 3rd year research assistant in the Bayfield Lab

Kirsten Samilin
Kirsten is a 3rd year research assistant in the Bayfield Lab
