Orientation is a great way for new students and their families to transition into university, discover campus resources, and establish social and academic networks. Orientation activities include Academic Orientation (virtual), York Orientation Day (in-person), Parent and Family Orientation (virtual), Orientation Express, Winter Orientation, and Summer Orientation.

Fall Academic Orientation (AO) 2022

Attending the virtual Academic Orientation will help you connect with fellow students and learn about your academic program. In addition, you will also learn about all of the resources available to you at your respective College and York University to help you succeed!

Academic Orientation will be held from August 19 - September 1, 2022, and is divided according to your academic program/major.

To participate in Academic Orientation, you will receive an email from Calumet or Stong College with your assigned Academic Orientation session date and registration form. A confirmation email along with a Zoom link to access the session will be sent following registration.

Fall York Orientation Day (YOD) 2022

York Orientation Day (YOD) is the formal, on-campus welcome event for all new students at York University. CCSC Staff, Students, Faculty, and supporting community members all work together to organize a full day of workshops and activities for first-year students

York Orientation Day is on Tuesday, September 6th from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM for all academic programs/majors.

To participate in York Orientation Day, you will receive an email from Calumet or Stong College with registration details. A confirmation email will be sent following registration.

Parent & Family Orientation Fall 2022

Session 1: Wednesday, July 27th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM EDT
Session 2: Thursday, August 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM EDT

Parent and Family Orientation (PFO) is an opportunity for parents and student family supporters to hear from members of the Calumet and Stong College community about services, events, and opportunities available to support their student’s success.
