I'm logging into Moodle/eClass and I am stuck on the profile updating page. How do I get to my courses?

If, when you are logging into Moodle, you are only able to see the profile updating page, the usual issue is that your email address has not been confirmed in the system. Please follow the steps below to resolve your issue:

  1. Log into eClass (eclass.yorku.ca)
  2. Click your name (profile, top right) and select profile from the drop down menu
  3. Click on edit profile in the user details box.
  4. Change your desired email and press update profile at the bottom of the page.
  5. Open your email inbox, and find the confirmation email from the Moodle system.
  6. Click on the link from the email. This will open a new tab or window depending on your browser settings.
  7. From the new tab or window, click on "Continue". This will bring you back into the Update Profile page.
  8. Verify that all of the information on this page is correct and click on "Update Profile". You should be taken to a profile summary.
  9. You should have access to navigate through your courses now. To check this, click on "My Home" or log out of Moodle then log back in.
