Courses

The Neuroscience degree is 120 credits including Neuroscience, general education, basic science, and prerequisite courses.

1st Year Courses

Depending on the pathway of entry, first year courses may vary (see below). All students in all three pathways will be required to take NRSC 1001 1.00; this is a 1-credit pass-fail course spread over two terms that will help establish the cohort and will expose students to the science and practice of Neuroscience.

Neuroscience – Kinesiology & Health Science

Students entering Faculty of Health, B.Sc., Spec. Hons. Neuroscience – Kinesiology & Health Science, will take the following 31 credits:

  • BIOL 1000 Biology I - Cells, Molecular Biology and Genetics
  • BIOL 1001 Biology II - Evolution, Ecology, Biodiversity and Conservation Biology
  • MATH 1506 and MATH 1507 - Mathematics I and II for the Biological and Health Sciences
  • KINE 1000 Sociocultural Perspectives in Kinesiology
  • KINE 1020 Fitness and Health
  • PSYC 1010 Introduction to Psychology
