Sindiswa Moyo

%%ALT%%

Manager and Service Advisor in the Office of Chief Planning Officer, Metrolinx
Graduate Program in Public Policy, Administration & Law, Master of Public Policy, Administration and Law (MPPAL) 2020

Sindiswa Moyo started her journey working for not-for-profits, which opened the door to different organizations in the public sector and allowed her to add valuable skills to her knowledge base. While working at York Region Rapid Transit Corporation (vivaNext) as the Project Specialist, Sindiswa learned how to read construction work plans and anticipate community impacts. She led unplanned events/incident management protocol, which included working with utility relocation, road reconstruction and waterworks. With that experience, she transitioned to Metrolinx in 2019, where she currently serves as the Manager and Service Advisor in the Office of Chief Planning Officer.

Sindiswa contributes her professional success to her promoters – the people who saw her potential, encouraged her to aim higher and opened doors for her. As a Black, female immigrant, she resonates with many other individuals with the same characteristics who went on and changed the world. Through the Advancing Black Students program, she hopes to pay it forward and become someone's anchor and north star.
