Priya (pronouns they/them) graduated from Comm Studies in 2014 and went directly into York's joint Communication and Culture Master's degree program. They've been featured online (print and film interviews, podcasts, zines) speaking about their specialised research in fan studies and cosplay. They are currently an Account Manager downtown, and facilitate community arts workshops part-time!"I loved critically analysing ads and the coursework in Advertising and Society with Dr. Anne MacLennan, the Directed Reading option, as well as the Field Placement option. With the former two, I was able to carve out space to acquire work experience while working towards my degree.
