Lena Azzou is the Vice President of Strategy and the Centres of Excellence at Metrolinx.

She is responsible for leading the enterprise Strategy and Transformation, LEAN Centre of Excellence, Enterprise Project Management Office and Workplace Strategy functions. She is acertified change management and strategy implementation practitioner.

Prior to her current role, Lena served as Chief of Staff to the President and CEO and held a range of senior leadership positions across the organization. Her portfolio has spanned enterprise data governance, emergency management and business continuity, project evaluation, development and execution, organizational governance, C-Suite advisory, and stakeholder and shareholder management.

Lena was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women Award Winners with the Women’s Executive Network, and is the Chair of the Metrolinx Women’s Network. She is also the former Vice Chair of the Women’s Centre of York Region, and regularly acts as a mentor.

Prior to joining Metrolinx, Lena worked in both the structural engineering and telecommunications industries where she took on responsibilities for both technical and customer experience specific programs.

Lena is a wife, mother of two, and in her spare time enjoys reading, travelling and volunteering her time supporting causes effecting women and families.
