Marlon Reid is an entrepreneur and formerly a leader of CIBC’s Personal and Business Banking strategic business unit as a Director - Client Strategy. Prior to this, Marlon served as Community General Manager, Director-Business Effectiveness, CIBC Commercial Banking and Wealth Management and as Designated Complaints Officer for the bank. Marlon is Co-Lead on CIBC’s Black Employee Network, connecting team members and helping to advance talent from the Black community.

Marlon previously worked at TD Securities in progressive roles. As Vice President, Global Counterparty Credit – Investment Banking, Marlon led a high performing function focused on negotiation and deal execution of TD's energy origination transactions and various other over-the-counter derivative and capital market transactions. Marlon also served in leadership roles on TD Bank's Diversity Leadership Council.

Marlon is a tireless and committed community leader. He served as President of the Canadian Association of Urban Financial Professionals as well as Chair of the organization’s Corporate Advisory Board. He received appointments to the AGO Next Committee of the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Financial Services Advisory Board to the Rotman School of Management, as Director on the Toronto Public Library Foundation Board and President of the Toronto Regional Council of the University of Ottawa. Marlon coached teams competing in the National Black MBA Association’s MBA Case Competition, and currently sits as Director and Treasurer for the 100 Strong Foundation Board.

Marlon holds an undergraduate commerce degree from York University, a law degree from University of Ottawa and a Master of Finance from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
