Maryshaa Bastiampillai
Senior Policy Advisor, Ontario Public Service
Public Administration, Bachelor of Arts (BA) - Honours 2013
Masters of Public Policy, Administration and Law
Maryshaa has over ten years of public service experience helping with the delivery of programs and services
that have an impact on Ontarians. She has led the development of high-profile government initiatives including cannabis, justice sector modernization, human trafficking and is most recently working on developing policy to support Ontario's first-ever artificial intelligence framework.
Choosing to go to York University was one of the best decisions I've made. York has supported me both financially through scholarships and academically to pursue a career in the public service. The fourth year Practicum course was a stepping stone that helped kick-start my career. I will always be grateful to York and wonderful faculty for the opportunities and support they have provided for me.
