Humanities
I really enjoy that the Humanities program allowed me to explore an array of interests while pursing my degree. The interdisciplinary nature of the Humanities program gave me the space to study a variety of subject areas, and has changed the way I perceive the human experience. I am passionate about the afro-indigenous experience, the production of cultural artifacts and ancient religions. The Humanities program has courses speaking to all these themes which really enhance my university experience because I was able to explore a variety of my areas of interest.
When I started at York I was pleasantly surprised by how understanding professors and Teaching Assistants were, especially in my first year. I have made connections with faculty members that have opened up many opportunities both scholastically and in the workplace.
