The Osgoode Colloquium on Law, Religion & Social Thought addressing theoretical and social questions regarding law and religion in contemporary society. The only forum of its kind in Canada, the colloquium is insistently multidisciplinary, drawing on creative and provocative thinkers from a variety of relevant disciplines, including law, political theory, religious studies, philosophy, sociology, and history. The colloquium brings together a core group of faculty and graduate students (both within and outside Osgoode) interested in critical analysis of the interaction of law and religion in a social, historical, and philosophical frame. The colloquium is thus not only a vehicle for the exploration of issues of law and religion, but also a forum for reflection on theoretical, methodological, and critical issues in law and society.
