York’s Office of Research Ethics is proud to launch YU Ethics Review, a secure, modern and user-friendly online system for ethics review. This new platform replaces our 14-year-old legacy system and will roll out in phases: biosafety researchers starting on Oct. 1, researcher with animals in December, and research with human participants on January 20, 2026.
Please note that this calendar year's ethics submission deadline for human participant research is Nov. 14. All new human participant submissions will be accepted via the new system starting Jan. 20.
YU Ethics Review streamlines submissions, automates workflows, and reduces delays and administrative burden.
Training and support will be available throughout the rollout to ensure a smooth and successful shift to the new system. This website will be updated with additional resources and information in preparation for the official launch of the first phase of YU Ethics Review in October.
