Brian defends his PhD! No words can describe the joy of seeing this final milestone - reached by the first group member. Congratulations!

The biggest news of 2022 so far - Anthony defends his PhD and is recommended for the thesis prize! Congratulations!!

Belated update due to the pandemic.. Brian was awarded a Larry Calvert travel fund to attend the XRD workshop (2021). New and outgoing group members for the past two years: Yong Cao (PDF, 2021), Aisha Attar (PDF, present), Nicole Ritter (returning PDF) and new graduate students Bohan, Bruce and Yuwei!

Brian is awarded QEII-GSST scholarship! Congratulations!

Anthony (Nguyen Le) wins 3rd prize in poster presentation at ICES 2019! Congratulations!

Jennifer receives Fred Beamish Award in analytical chemistry from Chemical Institute of Canada

Sonu (Gurbrinder Ghotra) successfully defends his MSc. Congratulations!

Several group members were honoured at the Faculty of Science Awards Ceremony on Jan. 16. They include Anthony, Brian and Chris for graduate scholarships, Sukhbir, Jin and Shakiba for undergraduate awards, and Jennifer for early career research award. Congratulations everyone!!

Jennifer wins the Award for Outstanding Early-career Achievements in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Ontario from Nano Ontario.

Jennifer is named as one of Top 40 under 40 by the Analytical Scientist magazine.

Sukbir joins us for his undergraduate thesis project and Rithu returns to pursue her MSc. Welcome!

This summer we were lucky to have undergraduate students Yasmin and Karim to help out in our lab.
