York University has approved the 2020-2025 University Academic Plan (UAP)!

The UAP 2020-2025 is about coming together to create positive change for students, our campuses, and local and global communities. In a time of unprecedented trial, in the midst of a global pandemic and an international mobilization against anti-Black racism, the Plan recognizes that York U brings distinctive capabilities to help meet the challenges of today and tomorrow and to uncover the opportunities that lie within them.

The document affirms York’s core values of academic and educational excellence, diversity and inclusivity, social justice and equity, progressive thinking and environmental sustainability.   

The UAP identifies Six Priorities for Action that York U will embrace over the next five years:

A signature element of the new UAP is a University-wide challenge to elevate York U´s contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). York U will provide a support infrastructure to facilitate groups coming together to collaborate on the SDG Challenge and to document the positive impact in key areas, including the alleviation of climate change, poverty, and inequality.
