OurEquity, Diversity, and Inclusion(EDI) team implements programs that allow students to learnabout intersectionalityand the ways in which we can achieve inclusion and equity within our school community.In light ofBlack History Month, the Fostering Allyship workshop aims toengage with the York communityby creating discussions around anti-racism and allyship.Students will have the opportunity tounlearn about the colonial definitions of racism and understand what it means to be anti-racist. The workshop is broken down into three parts,challenging what we think we know about racism, anti-racism in action: exploring power, privilege, and allyship, and racial equitydemonstratedwithin the York Community.
