Students can explore the ideas covered in class through a variety of experiences — whether they are in the classroom, in a lab, working in a community organization, or a private sector firm. Experiential Education leads to deeper learning and better preparation for life after graduation, whether that is in the job market or further professional studies.
The Co-op program is available to full-time Science students who are enrolled in the following programs:
Applied Mathematics, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Data Science, Mathematics, Mathematics for Education, Neuroscience, Physics & Astronomy, Science Technology & Society, and Statistics
Undergraduate Research
Advance your knowledge by gaining research experience outside the classroom. Students have the opportunity to learn advanced lab techniques, use sophisticated lab equipment, interact with graduate students, gain in-depth knowledge in a particular field, and actually contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge. At York Science, lab and research opportunities can begin as early as first year.
