Feedback and Reflection

Daily interaction and ongoing communication between the Teacher Candidate and the Mentor Teacher is necessary to discuss the day’s lessons, observations, suggestions, future planning and other topics and/or concerns. It is important that the Teacher Candidate accepts any feedback received in a professional manner and adjusts the Practicum performance accordingly.  Mentor teachers are encouraged to contact the Practicum Facilitator if there are concerns regarding acceptance of feedback.

Teacher Candidates record the Post-lesson Feedback on the MT Feedback Form. MTs initial the form at the end of each 5-day period and sign the form at the end of the Practicum Placement to show that they are in agreement with the captured feedback.
