A research study by chemistry professor wins prestigious award
A research study led by chemistry Professor Christine Le, titled “Synthesis of Carbamoyl Fluorides Using a Difluorophosgene Surrogate Derived from Difluorocarbene and Pyridine N-Oxides,” was honoured with the 2023 Outstanding Publication of the Year Award from The Journal of Organic Chemistry.
Chemistry Professor receives Petro-Canada Emerging Innovator Award
Congratulations to Bill Kim, an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, who has received the 2023 Petro-Canada Emerging Innovator Award to support his cutting-edge biological chemistry and genome editing research program. The award will enable Kim to develop new methods of creating genetic mutations in cells to better understand and treat diseases.
