Master of Fine Arts (MFA) (On Hiatus until Fall 2025)
York University’s MFA in Theatre is an intensive, two-year (five-semester) conservatory program. It is designed for serious, advanced theatre artists who want to further hone their skills so as to enter - or re-enter - the profession, and who seek the knowledge and skills needed to teach at the post-secondary level. The program offers small class sizes led by faculty who are experts in the field. Please note, the international student acceptance rate is extremely low, and we may not accept international MA applications every academic year.
Not accepting applications for the Fall 2023/Winer 2024 academic year as the MFA program is currently on hiatus until Fall 2025. Information regarding application dates will become available in the future.

Earning my MFA at York University was truly a gift. It allowed me the space, time and support to dig deeper into my own creative process and to expand and embody my artistic practice in new and refreshing ways. I am so grateful.
