| 26 | Deadline for research proposals requiring REB review to reach FGS Review status in the Proposal Milestone Portal if students intend to commence minimal risk research in Winter 2027. Because proposal milestones undergo review by the Supervisory Committee, Graduate Program, and Graduate Program Director before reaching FGS, students should submit their proposals well in advance of this date. Students are encouraged to prepare their ethics protocols while awaiting proposal approval, as ethics applications cannot be submitted to the Office of Research Ethics (ORE) until FGS approval is obtained. Proposals that do not reach FGS Review status by October 26 may not receive the necessary approvals in time for Winter 2027 research commencement due to ORE processing timelines and year-end closures. |
