Students who are deemed potentially eligible to graduate in June 2025 or who have graduated in absentia in February 2025, will be sent an invitation to Spring 2025 Convocation by email with instructions on how to RSVP online for their ceremony.

Completing the RSVP form will let the University know that you are attending your ceremony and will ensure your robe rental is arranged. When you RSVP you will also be able to claim your guest tickets.

Invitations to convocation will be sent 4 to 6 weeks prior to your ceremony and will continue to be sent on an ongoing basis as students become potentially eligible to graduate.

Please note that the graduand does not require a guest ticket to attend their convocation. The robe rental confirmation page acts as a student ticket to convocation.

Guest tickets can be claimed when graduands complete their online RSVP. Each guest requires a ticket to be admitted. Tickets are barcoded and can only be used once. Graduands will be be able to claim up to 3 guest tickets. Availability of guest tickets may vary by ceremony and is dependent on capacity.

Children under the age of three (3) do not need a ticket if sharing a seat with the adult accompanying them.

Your legal name on record will be used on your diploma and at Convocation. Visit the Student Personal Information page to check your legal name and for information on how to request a name change through the Office of the University Registrar.

Two weeks prior to convocation, graduating students who RSVP'd to attend convocation will receive an email invitation from our partner NameCoach to voice-record their name and provide the phonetic pronunciation of their name for their graduation ceremony. Recording your name on the NameCoach site will help ensure that it's announced or pronounced correctly at the ceremony.

Provided that your eligibility is received prior to the printing production deadline for convocation, you will receive the diploma/certificate you are entitled to on the day of your ceremony.

Those unable to attend the convocation ceremonies should refer to the Registrar's Office website to learn more about pick-up dates and location.
