Invitations to convocation are typically sent 4 to 6 weeks prior to your ceremony.  The first round of invitations was sent in the first week of September and continued to be sent on an ongoing basis as students became potentially eligible to graduate. To check you graduation eligibility, please visit Graduation Eligibility and Status page.

The deadline for students to RSVP online has now passed. Confirmations and tickets can still be downloaded via the RSVP portal.

Those who are eligible to graduate in October 2025 may still register on site, 90 minutes before the start of their ceremony. Please visit the Box Office located next to the main entrance to pay the $60 robe rental fee and receive your guests' tickets to distribute to your guests.  Please note that only card payments are accepted at the Box Office - no cash.

Please note that the graduand does not require a guest ticket to attend their convocation. The robe rental confirmation page acts as a student ticket to convocation.

Guest tickets can be claimed when graduands complete their online RSVP. Each guest requires a ticket to be admitted. Tickets are barcoded and can only be used once. Graduands will be be able to claim up to 3 guest tickets. Availability of guest tickets may vary by ceremony and is dependent on capacity.

Children under the age of three (3) do not need a ticket if sharing a seat with the adult accompanying them.

If you require additional tickets, please complete the Extra Ticket Request form which can be found on the RSVP confirmation page after your complete your registration for your ceremony. Requests will be reviewed, and decisions will be communicated no later than October 9.  A request does not guarantee that you will be granted extra tickets, so we recommend that you do not make plans until you have received a decision from the Convocation Office.

Your legal name on record will be used on your diploma and at Convocation. Visit the Student Personal Information page to check your legal name and for information on how to request a name change through the Office of the University Registrar.

One week prior to convocation, graduating students who RSVP'd to attend convocation will receive an email invitation from our partner NameCoach to voice-record their name and provide the phonetic pronunciation of their name for their graduation ceremony. Recording your name on the NameCoach site will help ensure that it's announced or pronounced correctly at the ceremony.

Provided that your eligibility is received prior to the printing production deadline for convocation, you will receive the diploma/certificate you are entitled to on the day of your ceremony. You will be handed your diploma after you cross the stage, before you return to your seat. If you do not receive your diploma on stage, or if you have any questions, please visit the Diploma Help Desk inside the Grad Services tent after the ceremony.

Those unable to attend the convocation ceremonies should refer to the Registrar's Office website to learn more about pick-up dates and location.
