Electronic invitations to Convocation are typically sent 4 to 6 weeks prior to your ceremony. Receiving an invitation does not confirm your eligibility to graduate. Please visit the Graduation Eligibility and Status web page for more information about the graduation process and how to verify your degree status.

To confirm your attendance at the ceremony and ensure that your robe rental is reserved, please complete the RSVP form. When you submit your RSVP, you will also receive guest tickets for your convocation ceremony.

The online RSVP deadline for the 2023 Fall Convocation has been extended to September 29, 2023.

During the RSVP process, you will be allocated 3 to 4 guest tickets, which can be claimed at that time. The number of guest tickets allotted to each graduand varies depending on the ceremony capacity. The robe rental confirmation page acts as a student ticket, you do not require a guest ticket to attend your convocation ceremony.

After completing the RSVP, you will have the opportunity to download tickets for your guests. You may save the PDF document and email the tickets to your guests. Guests must show their ticket on arrival either via a phone or printed on paper. Each ticket contains a barcode, which is used for admission.

If you would like to request additional tickets, please complete the Extra Ticket Request form. Requests will be reviewed and decisions will be communicated no later than Wednesday, October 4, 2023. A request does not guarantee that you will be granted extra tickets, so we recommend that you do not make plans until you have received a decision from the Convocation Office.

The requirement for daily health screening is currently paused, but it's important for everyone to monitor their health and avoid attending campus if they are feeling unwell.

For convocation ceremonies, we prioritize the safety of you and your guests by following all necessary health and safety measures as mandated by York University, local municipalities, and provincial authorities.
