Location and Transportation Details

All convocation ceremonies will take place at York University. Below you will find specific information on the location, parking, shuttle buses, guest seating and the reception. 

Keele Campus:

The June and October convocations will take place at the Convocation Pavilion, Sobeys Stadium, situated at 1 Shoreham Drive, on the west side of the Keele Campus.

The Kellogg-Schulich EMBA ceremony in October takes place in the Seymour Schulich Building.

Glendon Campus:

The June Glendon convocation will be held on the Glendon Green at the Glendon College Campus, located at 2275 Bayview Ave. 

Keele Campus:

The main convocation parking lot is the Founders Road West lot which has a shuttle bus available to take guests to the Sobey's Stadium. The shuttle bus pick-up is on Founders Road on the west side near the walkway. Accessible parking will be available, for those with a valid medical placard, at the Shoreham Drive North parking lot. There is a guest pick-up and drop-off loop located off of Shoreham Drive across from the Sobey's Stadium

Guests, students, and faculty have the option to take the subway to the Pioneer Village TTC Subway station, which is the nearest station to Sobey's Stadium. It provides convenient access to the venue. Additionally, a shuttle bus service will be available to transport individuals between the subway station and the stadium, subject to availability. If the shuttle bus is full, it will continue to loop, picking up passengers the next time around. 

Parking will be offered for you and your guests to attend your ceremony in the Founders Road West lot. Parking Enforcement Officers will be stationed at the lot, screening vehicles upon entry. Should guests decide to park in an alternate visitor lot, the standard hourly/daily fee will be required.

Glendon Campus:

Glendon Campus is located at 2275 Bayview Avenue, Toronto.

The closest subway station is Lawrence Station (on the Yonge line). From there, take the 124 Sunnybrook Hospital bus. The campus is located at the intersection of Bayview and Lawrence Avenue. Exit bus at Bayview Avenue. Walk north to 2275 Bayview Ave (3 minutes).

Parking will be offered for you and your guests to attend your ceremony in the P lots found in the map below. Parking Enforcement Officers will be stationed at the lot, screening vehicles upon entry. Should guests decide to park in an alternate visitor lot, the standard hourly/daily fee will be required.

Accessible parking spots are available at Glendon on a first come first serve basis. All vehicles parked in an accessibility space must display their valid medical placard.

We want your convocation experience and the experience of your guests to be enjoyable. Below are some important details about seating: 

  • Please ensure your guests have their ticket ready upon arrival. 
  • Children under three (3) can share a seat with an accompanying adult and do not require a ticket.
  • The Convocation Pavilion opens for seating approximately 90 minutes before each ceremony. 
  • Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • If you or your guests require accessible seating, please inform us when you RSVP. 

If you happen to lose any items at the Convocation grounds of Sobey's Stadium, rest assured that they will most likely be returned to York University lost and found. You can retrieve your lost items starting one week after the conclusion of the last ceremony. For more information on lost and found items, please click here
