Dr. Serine Warwar, is the Director of the Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) Training Clinic - York University , which is run in affiliation with the York University Psychology Clinic (YUPC), a state-of-the-art community mental health and training centre associated with the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Health at York University. She and Jessica Abrams, Director of YUPC, are working together to offer dynamic training opportunities to community-based professionals in the provision of Emotion Focused Therapy.
The Emotion Focused Therapy Clinic – York University is a member of the International Society of Emotion-Focused Therapy (ISEFT). Dr. Warwar is also the Founder and Director of the Centre for Psychology and Emotional Health, a Centre for: individual, couple, family, and group therapy; professional trainings; and a satellite training site for the Emotion-Focused Therapy Clinic at York University.
Dr. Les Greenberg, founder of the EFT clinic, former director, and the primary creator and developer of EFT, continues to teach EFT workshops in individual and couples therapy, and train professionals in EFT.
SERVICES OFFERED
For practitioners, the EFT clinic is a place for learning about Emotion-focused therapy through continuing education Institutes led by certified ISEFT trainers in EFT.
For individuals in the community, the EFT clinic is a place to see an EFT-trained therapist.
For clinical psychology graduate students, the clinic is pleased to announce that we are a member of the Toronto Area Residency Consortium and through this affiliation offer a pre-doctoral training experience focused on emotion-focused therapy.
