Choose your style:
Traditional Style Buildings
Traditional style housing features standard residence rooms in both single and double occupancy, with shared community bathrooms located on each floor. This style offers an affordable option and fosters a vibrant, social environment where students can easily meet neighbors and participate in community activities. Traditional buildings do not include kitchen facilities, and residents are required to have a dining plan. This option is most popular with first-year students.
Hybrid-Style Buildings
Hybrid style housing blends elements of both traditional and suite-style living, consisting of 2-4 person Clusters made up of multiple bedrooms. Each Cluster includes a semi-private bathroom that is accessible only to the residents of that Cluster. This style provides an appealing balance of affordability, privacy, and comfort. Hybrid-style rooms do not include kitchen access, and residents are required to have a dining plan.
Suite-Style Buildings
Suite style housing offers semi‑private living arrangements, consisting of multiple bedrooms connected by a shared bathroom and a small common or kitchen area. Suites provide additional privacy and personal space while still offering the convenience and community of on‑campus living. Residents in suite-style housing have direct kitchen access, and dining plans are optional. At York, suites range from 2 to 12 residents and include both single and double occupancy rooms. This option is preferred by upper-year students.
