In addition, she is a certified grief practitioner and has led seminars and training sessions on anti-oppressive practice, mental health and the church, and abandonment and attachment issues.
York University School of Social Work was pivotal in my educational and professional journey. The BSW and MSW programs provided me with a critical anti-oppressive and analysis foundation, which has formed how I teach and approach my work daily. The social work program taught me to think critically and view the world from multiple lenses to interpret and conceptualize systems and spaces that impact people’s lives. I am honoured to be a York University Alumni.
