Tanna is an experienced senior executive, business owner, lecturer, and speaker with 25+ years of experience across risk management, strategy, marketing, and technology, in insurance and banking sectors, media and nonprofits in the US and Canada. Tanna's track record includes standing up multiple new global risk management teams, frameworks and programs, heading strategic efforts for growing the business, and leading implementation of global technology programs to harmonize and digitalize risk, compliance and audit processes.

A high-energy, engaged executive, Tanna now leverages her industry experience as the founder of Percepta Leadership, which provides leadership development, coaching, psychotherapy and coach training services to leaders and coaches, with a purpose of humanizing leadership. Tanna is on faculty at York University, where she teaches Risk Management and Insurance studies, as well as EU Business School, where she teaches a variety of leadership and business courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels.

Tanna holds both an MBA in Leadership (EU Business School) and a Master of Arts in Humanities (York University). Reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning, Tanna holds several executive coaching designations and is training at Ontario Psychotherapy and Counselling College to become a Registered Psychotherapist (expected 2027).

I really feel like I 'grew up' academically at York. The capabilities I honed in the MA program have served me well throughout my career, and I've made important connections with the university that continue to enrich my life.
