Jane is the Head Remediation and Performance Optimization, People and Culture at BMO Financial Group. Her mandate includes the design, development, and implementation of talent and performance solutions to proactively reinforce and strengthen BMO's risk, and regulatory and compliance human capital practices.
Jane has held leadership and organizational development roles at BMO in People and Culture, Canadian Personal and Commercial Banking, and Enterprise Risk. Over her career of 20 plus years, she had led Organizational Effectiveness, Employee Listening & Analytics, Leadership Development, and Canadian Diversity and Inclusion. In her most recent role, Jane was the Head Culture and Behaviour Risk and Operational Effectiveness, where she led the creation of a new Operational Non-Financial risk function across BMO, establishing the risk framework for the effective management of culture and behaviour risk. In support of BMO’s Executive Committee and in active collaboration with leaders, employees, customers, and community groups, Jane has been the People and Culture architect of BMO’s values, culture, and purpose, to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life.
Jane was born in Saskatchewan, raised in Montreal and lives in Toronto with her husband and two children. She holds a multidisciplinary liberal arts BA from York University and supports the McCall MacBain Foundation Fellowship and Scholarship program.
