Jason Chee-Aloy is the Managing Director of Power Advisory, with nearly 25 years of experience in competitive and regulated electricity markets. Power Advisory is a leading electricity management consulting firm specializing in market analysis, business strategy, resource development and procurement, policy development, regulatory and litigation support, contract management support, market design, project feasibility and due diligence. Mr. Chee-Aloy is based in Toronto and acting for clients with interests across Canada and the United States. Prior to joining Power Advisory, Mr. Chee-Aloy was the Director of Generation Procurement at the Ontario Power Authority, and, previous to that, led resource adequacy, market development, and market surveillance initiatives for the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator.  

Mr. Chee-Aloy is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Renewable Energy Association, a member of the Board of Business Renewables Centre Canada, and is the renewable generator representative on the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator’s Technical Panel. In 2019 Mr. Chee-Aloy was selected as the Hedley Palmer award recipient from the Association of Power Producers of Ontario as a leading contributor to the independent power industry, and in 2009 he was awarded with the Canadian Solar Industries Association Leader of the Year award. He frequently speaks at multiple industry conferences and events, with over 100 speaking engagements throughout his career.  

Mr. Chee-Aloy holds an M.A. in Economics and graduated from York University and the University of Toronto.
