Gender & Women’s Studies, Bachelor of Arts (BA) - Honours 2024
Piper Anderson (he/him), BA Hons., Gender & Women's Studies, currently serves as the Coordinator of York University's feminist library, the Nellie Langford Rowell Library. A "forever learner," Piper has a lifelong passion for social justice, feminism, queer liberation, and advocacy. He is a writer and artist, a cat lover and history buff, and the recipient of 10 York University awards and scholarships.
Everything I have accomplished academically and professionally are thanks to the Gender & Women's Studies program at York. I started as a shy mature student interested in feminism, and I found my calling working as a bursary student in the Nellie Library. As the Coordinator of the library and alum now, I am very proud and grateful to be enmeshed in York University’s Gender and Sexuality studies community. At this time, I feel it is essential to safeguard and celebrate the knowledge that this program holds, and as such, I plan to pursue higher education in the school of Gender, Feminist and Women’s Studies.
