York University provided me with a strong business foundation for a career in IT. Completing a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) helped build essential business and financial knowledge that has been critical when selling technology solutions to clients. It developed my analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and professional communication abilities, all of which are vital in consultative and enterprise sales environments.

While the degree did not provide deep technical expertise, it strengthened the commercial mindset needed to position technology as a business enabler, making it highly valuable for long-term growth in IT sales, finance, and operations leadership roles.
