He researches mathematical epidemiology, focusing on spatial–temporal dynamics of mosquito populations and mosquito-borne diseases. He builds and analyzes dynamical and stochastic models (e.g., dengue, Zika, COVID-19), incorporating movement, seasonality, and intervention tools such as Wolbachia releases and awareness programs, alongside threshold, stability, optimal-control, and risk-estimation prediction in real outbreaks.
He is an associate professor in the School of Mathematics at Nanjing Normal University, China.
