Career | Fit Programs Give You a Competitive Advantage in the Job Market

Career | Fit Professional Experience Programs are convenient and flexible short programs for currently enrolled university or college undergrads in Canada between the ages of 18 and 25. Free to students who identify as Asian (whether South, East, Southeast, Central or West Asia), these programs supplement your academic courses, can help you find the career direction that's right for you, and open doors to your future.

Each program is designed to bridge from theory to practice by featuring a hands-on realistic project guided by a mentor from a major Fortune 500 organization. It's an excellent way to demonstrate to potential employers that you are serious about developing new, practical skills and getting yourself job-ready.

Work on a current industry project in a team while being mentored by an expert from a Fortune 500 company.

Convenient, Engaging Program Format…

Six weeks long – 12 x two-hour sessions, delivered live, online twice weekly.

The first hour features an industry project, guided by a Fortune 500 mentor.

The second hour features discussion and group work with a project coach.

The program includes professional and critical soft skills.

Finish with a formal
presentation of your group’s research and recommendations.

I enjoyed this program more than anticipated because of how interactive it was. We were encouraged to share our ideas free of hesitation, which immensely promoted our learning, networking, and communication skills!

One of the many things I enjoyed about this program was that all the mentors and instructors made everyone feel comfortable and put a lot of effort into engagement from all students, and the concepts learned are valuable.

I particularly enjoyed the program's hands-on approach, allowing me to apply the concepts and frameworks learned in real-world scenarios. The interactive nature of the program, including case studies and practical exercises, made the learning experience engaging and applicable to future endeavours.

I liked that there were guest speakers who brought in their own insight into the class. Those were helpful to learn about different careers and career paths. I also liked when the class had discussions as it helped me learn from others and participate.

Programs are free to eligible applicants but space is limited. In order to be considered you must be…

  • Currently enrolled in a Canadian university or college as an undergrad
  • Between the ages of 18 and 25
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or international student who identifies as Asian (South, East, Southeast, Central or West Asia)
