Eamama Daniyal is in the doctoral program in Sociology at York University. Her main research interests are situated in the area of diasporic identity formation, memory, and youth with a specific interest in the global Assyrian community. She completed her Masters at Carleton University, Ottawa, in Migration and Diaspora Studies where she focused on youth-led cultural organization and identity building in the diaspora. With over five years of experience working in the Assyrian-Canadian community through various youth-led and community organizations, Eamama has developed a passion for supporting and understanding how youth navigate their diasporic identity. Eamama is fluent in Assyrian.
